Tasty Super Tuscan from TJs. Very ripe, almost jammy red and blue fruits, some spice and cured meat aromas. Rich velvety mouthfeel. Still very fruit-forward for a 2010, and nicely balanced tannin and acid suggest this has some more time left. Will grab a couple more on my next visit.

When paired with Italian food this wine shines, not great as a stand alone wine. The nose is slightly smokey, with some oak, blackberry, and pepper. The taste is ripe dark berry fruit, red apple, pomegranate, vanilla, with hints of carmel and baking spice. Overall, the wine is good bang for your buck especially when paired with pizza, bucatini, or vodka sauce😀

Bold, balanced, thick and juicy! Buy this if you find it! Aromas: Smokeyleather, oaky vanilla, rich bold sour cherry, New Pair of sneakers. Taste: its amazing! dark red fruits, Cassis, blackberry, undergrowth and black pepper. This has great mouth feel, with balanced tannins and acidity.

Smooth and continued to improve after breathing for 30+ minutes. There’s no more 2010 at TJs so I look forward to trying the 2011.

My father in law bought this in the $10–20 range from Trader Joe’s. Big, acidic, and spicy, this went well with our pasta and tomato sauce and even stood up to a salad with vinagrette. A surprising vintage bargain from a grocery store.
