Metodo Tradicional Brut Cava Rosé Blend
Light orange in color.
Light nose of strawberries, overripe cherries, limes, minerals, citrus and tangerines.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and lots of bubbles.
Very dry on the palate with strawberries, limes, grapefruits, raspberries, citrus, sea salt, white pepper, minerals, spices and peppercorn.
Medium finish with bitter almonds.
This is a dry sparkling Rosé from Spain. A little over the hill by now, but since it's a non vintage, I'm not sure how old it is.
It should be an above-average Cava when fresh. At this stage it's still drinkable, though.
A good food wine or just to sip on by the pool.
Methode Traditionnelle.
11.5% alcohol by volume.
$13.

I am usually not a Cava fan but this is nice and finely balanced between sweet and dry. I hate most sweet wines or champagne but this hits the mark. Not great for a $17.99 price point as I can get my Cava at Trader Joe's for $8-9 but the $9 sale did it right!

Jun 11th, 2016Hmmm. I'm conflicted. Kind of tastes fishy... but grilled fish. So not necessarily a bad thing. Just surprising.
