Lightening rim medium deep ruby red core. This comes across as slightly warm with a bit of alcohol noticeable , i then slightly chilled the bottle which helped somewhat. Quite aromatic , roses , dried fruit , earl gray tea , licorice. On the palate nice red fruits predominate, strawberry, raspberry , red cherry , touch of allspice and that licorice note again. The acidity is well judged and gives enough balance, the finish is reasonable also, though there is a touch of that alcohol. Overall not bad , a reasonably good 2007 that will be best drunk over the next 5 - 10 years , it will improve for the few years I would imagine.

Decanted an hour. Dusty cinnamon, biting tannins. After being open a while, it showed off its perfumed elegance.
