Dark tawny color. Mostly opaque. Obvious Nebbiolo nose. Notes of anise, tea, rose petals, some balsamic vinegar and a little tar. Silky and smooth in the mouth. Tannins fully resolved. Almost sweet in its finish. This for me is at peak and is in a great drinking window.

Jul 14th, 2021From the list at L'Artusi. Great deep opaque color with very aromatic nose. Notes of cherry, tar, soy, molasses and plum. Rich and fat in the mouth. Tannin nicely integrated. Great drinking right now but will stay in the zone for years to come.

Deeper more ruby than garnet , thinner garnet rim . Quite a lot of sweet spice , quite primary still, touch of spicy oak , rounded sweet dark fruits , orange rind . In the mouth quite intense , more dark fruits than red , cassis , pretty strict , refreshing acidity , raspy tannins . Good length. This did benefit from quite a lot of air and became more envolving and better balanced with time . Powerful and masculine in style , does just lack a bit of cohesion and elegance overall however . Just starting to enter its drinking window , though this too will go for quite some time , 10 years at least.
