Berries and a hint of barnyard on the nose, along with hints of kirsch and dried flowers. Modest raspberry fruit on the palate with a big, aggressive whack of wood that becomes bitter and slightly metallic on the finish. Medium-minus body, medium-minus acidity. Long finish dominated by bitter wood notes. A few steps away from greatness.
