Does very well with 30 min of rest. Very fruity up front at first but then mellows and is very balanced. A light flavor up front then a bit smoother and not quite austere. Lovely. Paired with lamb chop, roasted anaheims.

Podere Brizio's 2013 Rosso di Montalcino impresses for its overall balance. The flavors are bold and juicy throughout in a forward, generous Rosso to drink now and over the next few years. Bright red cherry, raspberry jam, flowers and mint grace the translucent, highly expressive finish. (AG)

Comes from Vineyards that are 16 to 25 years old and a gentle slope facing south west at about 1000 to 1100 feet. Soil of marine origin with underlying foundation of marl and limestone. Powerful wine and needs decanting a couple of hours ahead.
