Drank at room temp. Bet it would be better chilled. Generally good, somewhat dry but citrusy and italiany. Color:urine

Who would have guessed I'd open an Italian wine...
A Carricante from Sicily with 5% of Riesling added, if I understand the label correctly this is the first vintage made by Planeta.
Quince, melon, honey, mint, white flowers, grapefruit. Med body with balanced acidity, grapefruit palate. Looooong liquorice aftertaste with slightest hint of bitter.
Had this last time about two years ago and was unimpressed....
With 12.5% a Sicilian lightweight.
Who would have guessed I'd open an Italian wine...
