Rosé Sicilia IGT Syrah Blend

High acid, tart, and strawberry peach + chalky minerality. Syrah/Nebbiolo 50/50. Amazing.

Peach, dried flowers, honeyed almonds and hints of wild herbs lift from the glass. On the palate, Planeta’s 2019 Rosé presents soft textures, acids and minerals as a note of citrus-tinged green apple settles in. 50 % Syrah and 50% Nero D Avalo. Good mouthfeel but a little clunky.

Aromas of warm sugar, unctuous red fruit, amaro, and flowers.
Flowers, raspberry, vibrant acidity. Fun and fresh, easy-drinking.

A little bitter, but not in a bad way.

Light and delicate.

50% Nero d'Avola 50% Syrah

Nice wine. Perhaps could use a bit more intense fruit aromas but nicely balanced. Maybe better a year or more younger?

2020 vintage.
50 % Nero d’Avola and 50% Syrah.
Very pale in colour. Is it Rose??….yes a little bit.
Young strawberries, pomegranate and hibiscus on the nose.
Bright acidity with yellow citrus, rhubarb and peppery florals.
It’s a nice wine but not intense.
Quite light in body and structure.
