Starting the 1st of 10 holiday meals with the folks w/ @PlanetaWinery 2011 Cerasuolo #Sicily. Perfect for my red pepper & ricotta tortellone with a creamy smoked sausage sauce.

All-around drinkability. Juicy, smoked black cherries with a nice graphite streak adding complexity but not turning overtly serious. Paired perfectly with spaghettini with warm bacon-mushroom vinaigrette.

Very drinkable wine; fruity and delicious. This is a 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato blend but much lighter and simplistic than Occhipinti's SP68.
