Uruguayan wine is not popular. Tannat is it's mainstay, a Southwest France varietal, this wine was good, showing concentration, with just a little too much heat initially, but becoming balanced by bottle's end. A touch too much oak for my liking, because, I am a hog for fruit tannins and the curled lip of the Rhino. A great effort at a great price.

India ink in hue. Muscular with chewy tannins. Rich in leather, well integrated wood, with roasted black fruits and savory herbs.

Deep rich with good structure, lots of dark fruit and spice, needs some time to breath or can seem a little too tannic and brooding. Very enjoyable

Smooth tannic tannat from Uruguay. Soft velvet, easy to pair with bbq. (Norm loves this)
