Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore Corvina Blend

Medium body, ruby red in color, a little barnyardy on the nose, slightly tannic. TGIF! 🍷🥩

It’s actually a really good ripasso.

I passed on this in a 12 bottle draft. Maybe I shouldn’t have?

It’s good. It’s what it’s supposed to be. Which is a good thing.

Plum caramel nose - deep, rich dark jammy fruits, graceful gritty tannins.
Not the most complex wine, almost a 3rd pressing..a decent sub 15$ wine.

Had at Trattoria Taverniti. Loved it the first time. Not so crazy about it the second time, but still good.

Fruit but not too sweet, a bit light bodied not very complex, slightly above average Valpo

Fruity and drinkable - left open for 30 mins upon wine shop's reco. Not overly complex but definitely crushable. #Netflix category << I love that this is now a barometer of drinkability in my wine shop.

Update: 2 days later, left in fridge. This is bomb. Perfect pizza wine. Love that it's great at a slightly chilled temp.

Not the best Valpilicella Ripasso, not the worst. Ok. Not as full bodied or complex as I like in a ripasso, but drinkable.

Smooth not as full bodied as I anticipated. Nice enough for my Larsagne dinner. Hit the spot!

Fruit forward, voluptuous. Not very complex.
