Moderate intensity nose of crunchy cherry/berry fruit and crushed rock. Great acidity carries along dry flavors of crisp cherry and a savory mineral note. Nice weeknight dinner wine.

Sep 7th, 2019Like a crazy assed blend of village gevrey and fleurie. Dark cherry fruit with that bojo acid krazing . A hint of licorice and a touch of fresh rubber. Needs an hour to open. Everyone should have a bottle of passetougrain in the cellar. The evil stepchild of burgundy. Bought from Fass Selections. ... as it opens it gets even juicier. Pleasant bitterness.

Love how the Gamay plays here, for sure adding to the acidity experienced. Lightly tanninic, this should hold on for a few years, plus '16 Burgundy, I can't say enough positive things about this vintage.
24hr Update: Showing more integrated today, Pinot is pulling to the front, suggest very extended decant on next bottle.

True aromas of little Gamay and lot of Pinot Noir. Red cherries, flowers, some grapiness, lovely earth and mineral. So pure. Deep, intense aromas. Deep, dark and rich with big power but also comes across and light. At 5 hl/ha this is something else. SO good.
