The rare Grandes Ruchottes, a near Grand Cru equivalent, is as stunning as expected in 2017 with immense concentration, infinite minerality and layers of defined fruit with the perfect integrated reduction, toasty vanillin oak and chiseled core of racy acids. This is still incredibly young, even more so than the Caillerets.

Loooove this! Great mouthfeel, acid and wood in balance. Very tasty. Need more of this too.

Wow, flinty, match stick, toasty, reductive style that's reminiscent of Coche. Saline, full of minerality. Very very lovely. Decanted for a hour.

Being a huge PYCM fan that I am, this was the first "meh" bottle I've had. It was still Pierre-Yves with mouth-watering acidity, summer fruit aromas and all that — just a bit too toasty to my taste, a bit too much of pronounced oak. It lacked that masculine elegance that I'm after in PYCM wine, but still was delicious and lovely.
