Nose has intense spring flowers, ripe/aromatic pear, dried lemon, green apple flesh and (minor) wet slate.

Palate has warmed yellow apple, dried strawberry, ripe pear, light oak treatment, minor acidity on the long finish.. Amazing, outstanding bottle!

Much more weight to the palate than expect, blind this is not Bourgogne Blanc to me, baby Chassagne?

Decanted 8 hours.

It’s absurd how great this is. This is absurd. Before this wine I thought al Burgs that had Chardonnay on the label sucked. This has vaporized that. Sick nose. Candied lemons. Confectionary. So aromatic. Ripe green apples. Hit of elegant minerals. Palate has generous ripe apple and pear fruit with amazing balance and just a hint of richness. Awesome texture and purity. Just a brilliant wine. Terrific minerality on the longer than it should be finish.

This far exceeded my expectations. I was expecting a basic burg blanc and got a very beautiful, layered one instead.

@delectable Pierre brisset Bourgogne Chardonnay. Not the Cassaneas

I wish I’d had this blind. I likely would have guessed elite village puligny. It only lacks the density to be better than that. Still an absolutely masterful wine. Under the laws of god and nature this should not be Bourgogne blanc. Yet it is.

Nose is dictionary perfect balance. Some seashell. Mineral. Ephemeral. Orchid (I have no idea what that actually smells like but picture something perfectly beautiful).

Palate is mineral. A hint of salt. A mere hint of apricot flower. A hint of green apple. Hard to describe because it’s all interwoven. Amazing texture. Flits by the palate but gently alerts one to its presence like a silk scarf brushing ones cheek.

lingering elegance on the palate.

I’d give this a higher score but it’s Bourgogne blanc so how high can I score it ? For what it is it’s a 10. Maybe an 11.

... as this opens it even has some good density. My god. ... more on the 1er cru side after 3 hours. Richer. More apparent fruit.

The “lesser” of his two Bourgogne Blancs.

This is what it is trying to be. An elite traditional Bourgogne blanc.

Nose is seashells with some green apple. Very brisset-like precision. Like seashells crushed fresh in the Hulk’s hands in front of you.

Palate is elegant green apples. Really juicy and clean. Some mountain stream. Like fresh stream water just off the smooth stones. As it opens more juicy delish fruit. Wow. Almost a hint of sourness that provides support.

The least expensive wine in his lineup. But it’s a wine you want to own because some nights you want precise deliciousness without the distraction of complexity.

Lot going on in this wine. Little nutty, salt on the tongue. This is a minor leaguer hitting .400 in the bigs.
