Had this pesky damp vanilla note at first (like the one I've experienced on '10 Domain Wardy Beqaa Syrah.) But this subsided over time to reveal overripe red fruit and gripping tannin. Not sure if oak if the off-note culprit here. Very distinctive.

Roasted prune of a nose, dark fruit playing its way through tabac, pine comb, licorice. Shy, this one needs some air before it will gain your trust. After that, it's still a very bold, tannic friendship. The only secrets passed in cedar notes.

Primary fruits are almost all gone. Syrup, herbs, wet meat, spices. Lean yet savory. Very well integrated tannins. Long lasting finish. Taste better the second day.

Nice spice. Lithe, lean and elegant. If you're looking for big fruit this isn't it. Good food wine.
