2015 vintage. Napa Valley. Merlot 72%, cabernet sauvignon 20%, and cabernet franc 8%. Made by French native Claire Ducrocq, married to Aron Weinkauf (Spottswoode! winemaker). Nice spicy wine with good acidity, more Graves-like than Saint-Emilion. Good, but not great. I bet they drink Spottswoode at home. ABV. 14,2 %.

Love this! Smooth, nice body, not too dry.

A dry, earthy blend with a metallic finish. It could use a bit more fruit notes, but not bad.

Fabulous bouquet, lovely color, initial bite followed by warm, robust drinkable wine that paired well with salty, nutty dark chocolate.

Dark fruit. Some earthy forest floor. Pleasing with cheese and charcuterie. Blended like a right bank French wine. Tastes like a French wine. And hey, it’s made by the coolest French wine maker based in Calistoga.
