Medium brick red, runs to pink orange at the rim. Complex nose of autumn forest, spearmint, white pepper, with licorice and cherry in the background, but front and center on the palate. Dry, but 3/4 of the way through, the red fruit signals the sweet buds to fire for 6 seconds of welcome confusion. Medium minus acidity. Medium plus alcohol renders some heat. Tannins are firm and pleasant. The finish is quite long and enjoyable. This is a great bottle of wine. Will likely improve with complete integration.
