2009. Great to have the opportunity to taste this after the 08 last week. Better, I think, than that bottle, but the Pacalet picture is still not clear to me.

2009 vintage. In magnum. With Philippe Pascalet for lunch. Pale ruby with cloudiness. On the nose, medium intensity of red fruits, old oak, savoury spice, developing. On the palate, medium acidity, medium plus body, medium plus alcohol, medium concentration and finish. Not bad. Drink now until 2022+

2011. I'm in love with Pacalet's wines and this bottle only strengthened my love.
Wonderful, candy and caramel like aromas at first, overtaken by fresh menthol, lacquer and cedar tones. Needed a lot of air to get going but once opened up it was singing. Nice depth, earthy and woody, tannins are nowhere integrated and I feel like it could definitely use some cellar time. Amazing potential and definitely leaves me wanting more Pacalet.
