On this Easter night we have opened the 2009 Philip Togni Tanbark Hill Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon which has gone over very well.

The nose is very expressive with rich luscious aromas of black cherry, blackberry, black currant, black pepper, licorice, pimento, mint and earth.

At first sip on the palate brings rich dark fruit of black cherry, blackberry, black currant then the green bell pepper comes through with black pepper, licorice and rich earth.

This is a full bodied wine with medium + acidity and medium + gripping tannins that coat the tongue which leads to a long beautiful finish. A well blended wine that is very pleasing and has many years ahead of it. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. The new week is ahead so please be safe and make it an eventful one. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Wonderful. Full body and flavorful with an oak taste. Very smooth finish. Yup. Would pair wonderfully with the goat cheese and spinach stuffed steak from Publix. Will get this again soon! Great for 40+ price range.

This was a gift bottle, and what a treat it turned out to be! Disappointing immediately after opening, this wine blossoms after breathing for an hour or two. Earthy, medium tannins with dark, rich blackberry and cigar box notes. Will compliment almost anything edible.

A giant in this price range. It's composed and elegant and complex. Definitely not for fans of fruit bombs.

The more I drink 2012 Napa the more I realize that I should stock this vintage , quite robust yet still elegant. This CS has a deep dark color, lovely enchanting nose of black current, coffee, after eight and a light touch if spice, full body with firm tannins, that needed a bit of decanting to open up, a long delicious dry finish. I would wait a couple of years before approaching. My score 89, drink 2017-2027

Don't open this now. Way tooooo young. Has been in decanter over an hour. Still tight withdrawn. Red fruit. Some green pepper but not in a bad way. Medium in body. Try this 2018. Had another bottle. Much more open. Good wine but hold.

Tight and astringent even after letting it sit and aeration.

Nice Bordeaux style Napa Cab. Better with food. Lots of earth, raisin, sage. 3-5 years till peak.

Refreshing to taste as this has remained true to a more traditional style.
Deep garnet in color. Bing cherry, currants, pencil shavings, licorice and some bell pepper, a youthful and enveloping nose. The palate is bright with medium acidity, medium+ body and fine to medium grain tannin. A long and complicated (good thing) finish. Insane value for Napa Cabernet single vineyard wine. Don't worry about hunting this vintage, get whatever you find.
