2018 vintage. 50% Sémillon, 50% Sauvignon Blanc from the estate vineyard in Knights Valley, Sonoma. 100% barrel fermented, no malolactic. Exotic fruit, flowers, perfect oak handling.Great balance between Sémillon richness and Sauvignon freshness. The high alcohol ( abv. 15,1) is perfectly integrated. Very long too.

This afternoon I am trying a 2009 Peter Michael Coeur A Coeur (Heart to Heart) a blend if Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. To nose is nice with notes of pineapple, caramelized apples, gooseberry, bees wax and minerality. The palate gives a very smooth and rich almost oily mouth feel. Citrus notes, lemon, apricots, quince with a nice minerality. Even with this age for a white still has a nice medium acidity. A nice wine all in all.
