2011. Wasn't expecting a right-bank blend from the Dolomites to be this good. Fantastic, actually. Ripe, juicy, balanced, very much an Italian vibe on the finish.

Floral nose with hints of plum and spice. Dark fruit (especially blueberries and blackberries), oak, and pepper on the tongue. A distinct creaminess due to malolactic. Long and tannic finish. Has legs to age.

Good ripeness of fruit yet definitely cool climate structure and finesse, made in a classic style. There should be another 15 years in this one!

Medium acidity and body. Ripe fruit, vanilla and forest finish. Lighter than anticipated but well worth the try!
