Based on previous experiences I must admit having concerns about where this possibly would be headed but was super pleased with the showing tonight.
For certain a BIG Chardonnay but a good minerality and nice lifting acidity at the finish makes this very enjoyable.

Huge pear nectar, overly leesy and medicinal finish.

Cloudy deep gold color. Grassy butterscotch aromas. Reminds me of a sur lie Montrachet full of creamy flavor and full body. Not a typical CA chard, but I like it.

Big, Big, BIG.....but that's what you can expect from John Alban & Glenn Skrabanik.
I love what they do with white Rhone varietals but think Chardonnay gets a little lost at 14.9% alc.
I'll take a gamble and save my remaining bottles for 10+ years to see if they turn into something magical...??

Wet river stone, honeydew melon and minerals. After an hour it leaned more towards citrus- Meyer lemon and key lime. More French to me than Cali. Loved it!

I'm less harsh than @Henrik Poulsen ;) as I liked it but it's a big CA chard. Lacks the finesse and sharpness of an Aubert but sometimes the day calls for an in your face wine. Let it open up as it's a flat and flabby right out of the bottle (and I know those living in a glass house should not throw stones). As I say this the wife is going back for another glass so that says it all.

Good but going up against Bevan. Liked this better until Bevan opened up. This is an Alban that I heard about from the WNH. Good call.
