I bought 2 bottles of this in around 2006. Drank a bottle right away, and it was so green and astringent that I just forgot about this one. It’s actually quite nice! Medium intensity nose has earthy garrigue, old leather, and even some dark berry fruit remaining. Still a little severe in the mouth, but much more in balance than early on. Nice clingy flavors not overshadowed by the still aggressive tannins.

Dark bramble, fresh broken soil, licorice aromatic. Palate burst of juicy red berries, splashes over darker layers of blue and black. Firm tannin, quite lively, bit of oak edge.
