~ A bit sweet for my liking. Concentrated raisins and prune. Coffee, new car smell on the nose. Some black pepper and jam on the finish.

Watching the Cubbies. Baseball church. Violets and black pepper. Masculine but giving in fruit, soft tannin (after 3 hours) bright acidity.

Heavy, tannic, some potential but probably needs a few more years in the bottle or else a long decanting. A bit too high abv for my taste, and doesn't compare to most Rhone syrahs we've had.
