Yattarna Chardonnay
Gorgeous wine. 08 vintage with 87% tassie fruit and 13% adelaide hills. Still looking like it's got years ahead. Slight toast and flint notes coming through, pistachio and grapefruit. Pristine clarity and such focus, with deft length

Photos of the old concrete tanks and the entrance to the restaurant from their tasting room. We enjoy a tasty lunch there.

Sep 15th, 2014No pox on this one, mate. From Derwent Valley, Tasmania. Light touch of French Oak, really vibrant. Love this wine. 13%ABV, fully ripe and not at all contrived. Beautiful balance and keeps getting better in the glass.

Nov 11th, 20172008 vintage. Highly recommended by Peter Gago to try following a blind tasting from many high profile global wine makers who had thought this was a grand crus burgundy Chardonnay. Unfortunately the prominent oak nose dominates this week and overwhelms the fruit to me, which is in a more stone fruit and tropical style, marking it hard to confuse with grand crus Chardonnay from the Bourgogne.
