Ignites on the tongue; spicy with some bell pepper earthiness underlining a new world fruit basket. Wouldn't choose it. Wouldn't throw it away.

2013 vintage.Fruity and easy-going with high acidity that seems a bit unbalanced (wonder if this wine was acidified?).Clean and well-made but gives me the impression of a very technical wine that lacks soul. Rather expensive at 15 euro.

Big, assertive typically Penfoldsy affair. Like it's been steeped through a dusty eucalypt Victorian desk or a Federation floor.

For me, this was the best wine of the night, at The Capital Grille Generous Pour event. Very classic Rhone in style ( Shiraz and Mourvèdre ). A dry wine with good black pepper and spice notes. Understated against the big California cabs of the night.

Very nice, forest fruits on the nose, full bodied, dry, but fruity, some tannins, quite sophisticated.

Mild smokey aroma covered in spice of paprika & anise. A classic Australian powerhouse wine that lives up to it's reputation of a world class wine. Pronounced red fruits with strong notes of chocolate enhanced by the ample tannins.

2013 vintage consumed August 2016. Decent enough but not at this price point where expectations are higher ($29).
