Latest release. Sourced from Tasmania. Great nose of stone fruits and right amount of French oak. Razor sharp and focused acidity. Great balance.

Youthful, wooly, bright. Oak influenced with great acidity. Seems like a mix of new world chard winemaking with old world body. Very Corton Charlemagne like.

Penfolds tasting with winemaking team Kym Ichveter , Adam Clay, and Jason Barrett at Penfolds Winery. Elegant yet refined, great fruits of citrus, and mixed stone fruits . I think this will last 10 yrs. great juice!

Incredibile gunflint old world like. Impressive finish. Needs time to relax and integrate. Massive effort.

Medium lemon colour . Slightly toasty , lemon oil , peach , creamy nose , white flower nose , but quite fresh and detailed . On the palate quite creamy with lemon , apricot , yellow stone fruit , nice balanced acidity and freshness , balanced alcohol , good intensity and length . Lovely now and over the next decade . This comes across as more elegant and refined than I had imagined , but with no lack of intensity

2021 release at Penfolds tasting. A big and structured wine but with beautiful detail, complexity, and length. There is flint, smoke, rounded sweet lemon, caramel, and wet stone. Built to age but fabulous now. More structured than Kumeu or Leeuwin Art Series, but at Burg 1er cru price point, not great p/q for new world chard.

I did not expect Yattarna to be like this. Very fresh and focused. The fruit is a bit tart. Pear, rose-apple, kiwi. Feels like there is reductive wine making here and further ageing would highly improve the wine.
