March 2022. Simple but smooth and balanced. Fruity, slightly candy apple. But dry, not jammy. Good with BBQ. Mild acidity and integrated tannin. Should last a few more years.

Possibly a flawed bottle?
Tastes funky. Smells strongly of weed.
Update: After opening up a bit, it now smells and tastes like plastic. Unpleasant.

Fruity, chewy, get it if thirsty. A hair of dryness, but nothing major. May have been better tasting at the first part of dinner with vinegar bruschetta than later in the night when I had with alioli pasta.

Jan 2nd, 2016Seriously underrated. This is a nice example of what a Merlot CAN be. Much like what became the "Anything But Chardonnay" movement, Merlot was relegated to much the same caste. Open this, let it breathe, and you will be pleasantly surprised.
