Totally shocked by this wine. It was good when we first tried it back in 2008, I think. Was half-expecting this to be okay initially then die quickly, but it is impressive. Great nose of dried currants mixed with leather - classic older cab - with some cool spice notes on the edge. Extremely balanced on the palate, great flavors and expansion, with a smooth, lingering finish. I have not been that impressed with the more recent vintages from Peju, but their older cabs are rockin’ it.

Fun wine. Great color, crushed berries, leather and tobacco. Refined tannins, silky sweet finish. Glad I've got more!
