Classic Dry Creek Valley Zin characteristics. Nose has spiced blackberry, sweet gravel and sandstone scents, balsa wood. In the mouth it’s intense but thankfully not jammy at all. Rich and long. Some tannin. Love the balance on this.

Pedroncelli wines are bottled young, but are inexpensive and age well. Tonight enjoying with smoky pork ribs, beans, turnip greens, cornbread, and fries. The wine is proving soft at the edges, but a hint of gorgeous acid, delicate jammy ness, and some a telicherry pepper finish. Feminine meets masculine. Yum
