Pax Mahle Wines
Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard Trousseau Gris Rosé
The ultimate cannot-be-recognized wine label: all white with raised lettering. Uber tart and crunchy, with hints of lavender, honeysuckle, and green apricot. Just 12%. ABV. Best with food.

May 1st, 2020This has been a miss for me a few years in a row. Pax is a great winemaker but he definitely shines best with Syrah.
Here is a salmon tinted Trousseau Gris, pretty color, shallow personality. Nothing much to say. Shy aromas of red berries, just barely there. They could be any red berries. Then tart citrus, orange, little bit of bubble gum.
PostScript: that’s 800 complete well thought out reviews on Delectable for me! Tasting is easy, thinking is hard, expressing is hardest.
I’ll drink to that! 😀

Bright and fresh, though rounder than the ‘17 vintage. Great partner to fried fish.
