Paul Lato
The Contender Drum Canyon Vineyard Pinot Noir

No doubt. No hesitation. The best. Sensual wine. A raspberry, leather, chocolate. It's mild but the finish is spicy and long. I love it.

The 2017 Drum Canyon is now called “C’est la Vie”. This was the least open of the Pinots.
Paul Lato was in town and I had the chance to spend some time with him and taste through several of his new releases. His wines are great across the board.

Boy, what a nice wine!! 2014 young but already round and lush. Deep and lovely. Tasted (and bought) at "Taste of Santa Rita Hills" in Lompoc, generous pours of the region's best. For me, beat Sea Smokes Southing's butt! Kinda expensive at $80... But, what ever... 2014 vintage.
