Deep purple. Aromas of peppery spice, thyme and bramble. Grippy and chocolatey on the palate with a nice length.

Nice entry level Jaboulet. Rustic Rhone red with lots of G & S, but no M.

We have been buying this wine for years and Jaboulet consistently produce good vintages. Great balance and plenty of character, that can be paired with any rich foods you throw at it. And at a fantastic price!

Another ventoux for investigation reasons @Peter van den Besselaar☺️
This time it's a big wine merchant's wine. The nose is full of blackberry scents, olive, garigue and a tiny bit of leather. The palate is made of a big acid backbone, a good width, a nice blackberry note, a good width, some weight on the sides and some lively tannins in mid palate that kick things up a notch or 2! There is a great drying effect that defines a very long blackberry and bacon (?) finish. Above average cdn but not the best ventoux I've had. I expected a bit more freshness

13 years old, complex fruit from the start but unfortunately faded away completely after half an hour

Grenache and Syrah, very easy drinking. Bit of pepper but quite light. Had with crab linguine which went surprisingly well.

After a vodka martini at the grill, sat down for intimate dinner of porterhouse, broccoli & purple potatoes. Stood up to the Dijon mustard & jalapeños I plated with. Pleasing mouthfeel & flavor.
