La Chapelle Hermitage Syrah

After a disappointing/flawed bottle of 1996 recently this put a smile back on my face.
94+ pts.

Gamey, iron, blood, stewed fruit but smooth palate. Lots of funky goodness here.

My goodness. Certainly a benchmark. #killinandchillin

It would be hard to say this bottle is 19 years old. Beautiful dark fruit, gaminess and smoked meat. I little va but it only helped add to the quality of the wine.

Good but not the best bottle, perhaps in a dumb phase?

3L - wedding wine bias

A little beat, honestly. This acts like generically old "fine" French wine in search of some crafty critic's poetry. But I am prosaic as fuck.

The perfect complement to wild elk hunted last week at Diamond Tail Ranch. Northern Colorado.

Maybe something wrong with the btl, anyway I dont like the style anymore

Maybe its just this bottle but this wine seems to be young & very primary with a lot of fruit left.
