Aug 28th, 2023Medium Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, cedar and floral spice. On the palate flavors of fresh cherry and raspberry with floral and cinnamon spice notes. Full-bodied, fine tannins, long elegant finish ending with fruit, spice, wafts of oak and a subtle earthy character. Nice!

Jul 29th, 2018Consistent time after time. I believe at this point the Hyde vineyard was transitioned to the Calera Clone. In a great place right now yet has another 10 years ahead of it, easy. While the fruit is there if your looking for a fruit bomb keep shopping.

Jul 14th, 2018@David L, @James Hall and I had this at the WS Event in NYC and thought it was drinking incredibly well then. Those same remarks hold true now. Stunner of a wine that should not be overlooked.

Jan 6th, 2018Had this stuffed away for some bottle age, none needed. Pop and Pour. Richly concentrated showing aromas of violets, blackberry and purple plum. Roses, carnation and a dash of spice make a suave play on the palate. Soft tannins, bright acidity with a hint of cocoa truffle show on the finish. Stellar! Thanks @David L for the inspiration.
