Oh ‘13, why you gotta be so botrytis-y. (Yes, late rains, sadly). Under the gingery chamomile stuff, it’s solid Bougros. And not nearly as noble rotten as some.

Im often perplexed by how delicious these wines are and they prices they go fo, especially on the secondary market. Absolutely delicious, classic supple and ripe Bougros character with spine and minerality holding it all together. Deliciously salty and refreshing, yet contemplative with its layers and nuance too. Tangerine, ripe white peach, crisp apple and a slight kiss of pineapple. Iodine, sea spray, crushed oyster shell, chervil and aged ham round it out. Would love to revisit with another 5 years on it.

Elegant balance of mineral and ripe autumn fruit followed by an undercurrent of acid.

A little past it’s prime. Showing signs of oxidation. Good not great.

Solid. Not Grand Cru worthy and expensive for what it is. This is already showing signs of advancing age. Drink these if you have them. Lemon some oyster shell. Fairly simple.

Wow, stellar wine with definite Grand Cru structure depth and length. Super racy acidity but so refined and concentrated with thought provoking structure

2012 vintage. Fantastic selection by Carlin Karr at Frasca. The minerality was sublime.
