A crystalline take on butteaux

Cool how 8 years takes a good Chablis and makes it something else altogether (and for me profound). Sharp edges and tangy citrus have faded in favour of musky citrus and tropical fruit, an almost smoky resin and a long finish loaded with minerals. ❤️

Crisp light delish

Smokin! Not really sure what more you could ask for. It’s pretty perfect all things considered. Butteaux seem to be some of the better value in Chablis right now. Piuze & Pico my two favorites. Guess I’m a hipster at heart.

Rich and textured, but still a vein of Chablis acidity and minerality.

Tight! Concentrated. Intense. Acidic. Should rock in a few years.

So good. Great crinkly label find. Rich and lithe at the same time.

Christmas eve calls for good wines. Tight, citrus peel, big matchstick note. This definitely needs to be revisited in a few years, though so damn good now
