Spine of volcanic rocks, lots of nerve and tension across the palate. High acid and taut tannin balanced, like walking a tightrope. “Laser-like.” Smoke, crunchy red fruit, dried beef, fennel and saffron, savory herbs.

Nose is complex, with a tiny bit of barnyard, loads of smoky rock minerality, and rich cherry fruit. Chiseled in the mouth, with equal parts cherry fruit and intense stoniness, bone dry, with very good acidity. Tenaciously clings to the palate as some soft but vigorous tannins show up in the finish. Really fine.
