Pouilly-Fumé Sauvignon Blanc

2017 vintage. Good, if unexciting.

Lovely with fish soup

Actually blew me away-flinty, smoky- chardonnay-ish, un-savignon blanc like, balanced , layered. Delish, great puckering freshness

Pale yellow with Citrus aromas, earth and mineral tones. Palate shows citrus fruit flavors with earthy fresh cut grass notes and vivid acidity. The wine finished with a slight mineral tang. Tasting Sample.

Took a chance on this one in the state store and it turned out great

Wet stone, flint, tart peach and grapefruit, grass, lemon peel. Medium acid, medium finish, and moderate complexity, at best.

Crosses all the t's and dots all the i's.

Fumé is a reference to the visual appearance of smoke that puffs up off the grapes from their bloom growths as the are moved around. #lovethiswine #tastingnotes

My fave from our dinner SB tasting. Lemons & stones. Everyone was impressed w/ this wine.
