Parusso
Bussia Barolo Nebbiolo

This is likely past prime and on the downhill - there is little fruit left, but some percetible cherry and lacks a great degree of tertiary development. The biggest problem I have with this wine is that it lacks mid and back palate development. While the acidity is there, it lacks the broader structure to be deemed a great wine. All of that said, I love this wine when it’s younger and it always punches well above its price point.

Feb 1st, 2025Showing a bit more oak than I prefer, but this is clearly a well-made Barolo showing well despite its youth. The warm vintage shows with tons of ripe black fruit, but there’s plenty of tar and leather, too.

Dark red/Brownish color. Strong leather aroma with hints f tobacco - very complex nose. Very harsh tannins. Incredibly long finish. Even better on second taste.
