A solid effort, tho sporting a bit too much new-world flair, the main reason for the 3 stars! Still for those wishing to dip their toe into the Barolo pool, this wine is your ticket to ride, very approachable from the gate, dark plum, dark cherry, smooth tannins, licorice and underbrush. The finish is long and lasting! I purchased this wine for $28 a few yrs back from Costco.
