Papagiannakos
Kalogeri Malagousia
2021 vintage. From the rare Malagouzia grape, in the Attiki appellation, close to Athens. Exotic fruit and flowers, not unlike Viognier in the nose. Juicy, slightly honeyed fruit, good length with almondy bitterness.

Jan 16th, 20242014, My first wine out of this white Greek grape that was virtually extinct until Domaine Carras in the late 20th century began to cultivate it for varietal wine production. It is lovely fresh, floral, and elegant.
It had a light straw color, nose very floral full of summer flowers, acacia and summer fruits such as peach, medium to light body, fruity with fresh acidity, pleasant finish, my score 85, drink to 2017, an extra point for uniqueness :-)
