1964 Scavino that we gave to the winemaker upon visiting. He made it himself when he was 23 years old and had not had its since because they had to sell all of their wines back then. It brought him almost to tears. It was a beautiful moment and a one of the reasons, in my opinion, to hold and cellar wines. The stories that he told us about winemaking in the Langhe in the 60s were priceless as was his overwhelming gratitude. What he didn't realize was that it was he who gave us a gift. An amazing moment for all of us.
