Deep tawny with reddish rims. Almost opaque. Fragrant fruit forward nose. Notes of black cherry, moist earth, rose petals, iron, anise and some mint. Big and powerful in the mouth. Tannins most integrated. Chewy. Some dryness on the finish. Fruit fades a bit. Gave it 5 hours of air in the decanter. The nose is what’s memorable.

Dark and opaque. Gave it 5 hours of air in a decanter before touching it and it blossomed. Really nice nose. Notes of roses, black fruit, anise, wet cedar wood and some menthol. Rich and silky in the mouth. Great texture with a long finish. Paired well with a boar ragu pasta dish 8 hours after opening. In a peak drinking window but give it its needed air in a decanter first!
