Very nice but probably a bit past it’s prime. Decanted for 1.5 hours which did let the aromas sing. Certainly slightly modern in style with the sappiness of some of the fruit pointing to extraction but still a nice wine with depth, great fruit, and nice acid on the finish.

Earthy, tobacco, leather, dried cherries. Mid palate intensity shines. Fruit is still bright and tannins stand up, with well integrated balance. Lingering, elegant, rustic finish.

14.5 abv, Don't decant! Oodles of berry fruit, leather notes to some. Finish has some exciting moments with depth and concentration.
