Barolo Nebbiolo

Gorgeous nose of bright cherry, saddle leather, tar, faint roses, mineral and smoke. Gorgeous and expressive nose. High toned as well. Pure, graceful and balanced. Lovely ripe tannins and super juicy. Excellent. Terrific freshness, energy and a powdery tannin effect. Wonderful.

Superb nose. Floral, cherries, mesmerizing. Bright and high toned. Glorious spice and chestnut aromas. Very complex. Classic old school Barolo. Some leather and tar. Keeps opening and opening. Just terrific. Even some mint and menthol. Palate is just dynamite. What a value. Best value of 16 Barolo for me. Sweet sweet cherry fruit, wonderful elegant and ripe, juicy and velvety tannins. Wow, so round and complex. Just terrific fruit. Really elegant as well as this is from Verduno. Balanced and super clean. Remarkable.

Terrific nose. Tobacco, roses, Cuban cigar, mid season cherries, loads of dried earth, mixed with cherries, mid season and sour cherry mix. Awesome haunting nose. Palate has that terrific opulent fruit that is a signature of 2013. Gorgeous. So pure. So juicy and clean with great freshness. Velvety and lively tannins and acid. Killer fruit and just such a great value. Long.

Nose: tobacco. Maybe some cherry cough syrup. Black cherry. Palate: deep cherry. Juicy. Palate staining. Ass kicking. Very good depth and density. Long.

Young but quite good.

A little catch up. Solid Barolo which checks all the boxes one expects. Very well balanced & leans more to the finesse elegance side of things.
