So rich and flavorful. With a few more years it will get even better.

We brought this and having it open for nearly 6 hours and then decanting it made a huge difference. Last time we had it we decanted it for an hour or so before having it and it was a bit harsh. This pup needs a lot of oxygen.

Fruit bomb city! Softened up after a bit after opening and it was nails all the way.

Decanted for 3 hours. Medium to deep ruby. Nose is coated in dark black and red berries. Pretty well integrated and plush on the palate. A little alcohol on the palate but not over whelming at all. Nice furriness in texture. Lots of dark stewed berries on the palate. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) with a medium plus body. A little alcohol in the light finish too. Might need a little more to blow that off. Drink till 2020.

1997 Jayson Bordeaux blend from Pahlmeyer.

Definitely aged, beautiful color, secondary notes on the nose of turned earth, wet leaves, tobacco and light florality.

The palate still has life! Still has acidity and tannins that melt perfectly when paired with red meat. The red fruit is still evident and this vintage could probably last another ten or 15 years. I'm in love with this.

Disappointing especially considering how good the '13 Jayson Red has been. This falls fairly flat by comparison. Seemingly devoid of the type of structure seen in most of the '13 Napa Cabernet.

Power and finesse! Young but showing really nicely. Chocolate, tobacco, red fruit, dark fruit...it may be young, but damn it's good...

Wonderfully complex nose that lends itself to each of the grapes it represents. The wine on the palate is supremely smooth and velvety, with a nice long finish that dances on your tongue.
