Big Salt Elkton White Blend
A genuine surprise. $15 a bottle, but punching way above its weight. Low alcohol, high acid. So far so prototypically my speed. But it has a burst of flavor and sweetness, too - blue cheese and peaches roasted in butter and, as the name would suggest, a little salt. It's all balanced and perfectly integrated. Unquestionably a quaffer. But also a proper wine. Cheers to saline.

Initially the flavor profile of a sweet white but it quickly rolls to the full palate and smooth a beautiful effervescent white. Just WOW. Absolutely phenomenal.

Jul 4th, 2017This a fantastic juice. Pale straw. Muscat on the nose. Flowers. Fantastic acidity zinging through the structure like a current through a circuit. Enough purple prose, this is a beguiling (and pleasing) blend of riesling and gewürztraminer co-fermented in tank, blended with roughly 10% early muscat from neutral barrel. Single vineyard (Elkton, planted in 1983). Alpine in character. You'd never guess southern Oregon.
