Aug 17th, 2019Outpost True 09'. Unlike the 2008 or 2010 this needs a ton more air. The nose just grabs you! An abundance of dark mountain fruits, worn leather, mint, oak. Bold & elegant tannins. Nice & long finish. It could possibly get a little better with another 2 years in bottle. TRB with yet another wine. I'll be curious to see where this 09' will be in 6/8 years?

What an amazing vintage! Some air time was needed to reveal blue fruit, vanilla, bing cherries, and a wonderful background of Cabernet goodness. This wine is in its prime!

2009 Outpost True Vineyard Cabernet
An awesome wine. Less fruit forward and more extracted. A dead ringer for a high quality Veritas. Delicious and beguiling. A top notch Cab and one still very much in play.
