Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2021 pours a bright ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of raspberries, strawberries, cranberries, red flowers, and rocky minerals. There some ethanol too. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. Better with food. Drink now.

Orogeny is a geological term that comes from Greek oro, "mountain," and -geny, "birth." It refers to the process during which the collisions and separations of the earth's crust form mountains. Ruby with forward red fruit aromas. On the palate cherry, cranberry and currants with a little spicy oak layered with earthy minerals. Nice finish but needs more time to develop.

White pepper, jasmine, baking spices, lush raspberry with a round mouthfeel (though not quite as lush as Belle Glos). The wine is delicious, but it tastes more like a blend than a strict Pinot Noir.

Smooth Pinot. Goes well with Mandarin cuisine in San Francisco for client closing dinners.
